  • Tomorrow I promise lots of photos - of Sam and Michelle's wedding!

Yes, you read that right.  They are going before a judge and will become legal man and wife and make their little family a true unit.  So we had to go buy Michelle a dress that fits and Kaden an adorable little suit, sized premie, so that he looks smart in the photos.

Meanwhile, he just gets cuter and cuter every day.  He's now a week and a day old.  This morning he was awake for 4 hours!  I think that's pretty good for that age.  He looks so serious as he looks things over - I hope he's not a worrier like his mother!

This morning I went on a tour of the trees of Notre Dame with one of my garden clubs.  I have a lot to learn about trees, that's for sure!  Almost every tree has a plaque saying in whose honor or memory it was donated for.  Lots of different varieties - we decided to come back in the fall to see how they look in fall colors!

We all learned a lot about the different trees that work well here.

I promise - more great pics tomorrow!

  • That's wonderful news about Michelle and Sam!  Congratulations to them.  They make a beautiful family.

Purdue Cal gives tours of the trees on campus too.  Not many plaques, but most have a tag and there is a "tree trail" guide available through the grounds supervisor.   He's a master gardener too I believe.  Super nice guy, he won administrator of the year a few weeks ago.  Our campus is no where near the size of ND, but we sure do have a lot of trees, which is wonderful.  When they built the new parking garage, they transplanted about 20 full grown trees to in front of the student housing building.  So far it looks like only 2 or 3 didn't quite make it.

  • Wow!  Congratulations Michelle & Sam!

  • Oh my goodness... !!!! Soooooooooo many good news indeed, I am very encouraged indeed.... !!! Congratulations to the proud parents and grandparents... !!!! Congratulations on your new son-in-law.... so excited to hear that she's getting married... so many exciting things in her life indeed.. !!

My apology for being so late..... I was planning to stop by at your place right after I heard the news, but I am caught in the battle against my lawyer - very discouraging (that's why reading your blog really refresh my spirit). I am returning home next month most likely. I don't want to add myself into the 12 million illegals. I am not sure if I can return soon, but that's where faith comes, I guess.

Hope to see you  soon !

  • Yeah!!!!  Good for everyone!  Hope it all works out well for all.  Will be anxious to see the pictures.  What will the living arrangements be?  Sam is working isn't he?  I think that is what you said at some point.

  • wow...what a shocker!!!!  Congratulations to the bride and groom...May God bless their marriage forever!!!

    mmmmmm...that desert looks so good!!!

Take care and God bless you all((HUGS))

  • AWESOME!  Prayers for them and you.  Kaden is such a cutie.  That was a long, long time for him to be awake.  So, did you find a dress?  ttyl

  • Wow that is great news. I happy for them both.  I do not know a lot about trees either.

  • I am picking myself off the floor with the wedding news! I'm happy for them. I wish them lots of understanding, patience, respect, and of course, love. May they follow in your parents and your footsteps. You certainly have given Michelle a great example. Congratulations to all! I am looking forward to pictures. *HUGS*

RYC: Yes. I have spoken to her about Juan's possible tendencies. What a terrible shame. I don't want her to leave home yet but the relationship bothers me now and I hate wishing she goes away to college. I mean, yes, I do want her to go away for college but I can wait and lately I'm wishing for it to hurry. That's the part I've been disliking. *sigh* He keeps mentioning "their future" and she keeps saying she knows he's not the one for her. Let's hope. In the meantime I don't want to forbid her wanting him to be her boyfriend. I'm hoping the summer fizzles them. Good thing his father thinks he has control over them and is forbidding them to "date". And he doesn't want them hanging out during the summer. YES! However, I won't even dare mention to him that he is actually helping me out because he will be contrary and connive to get them together. I really don't like him. Does it show? LOL

  • Wow, Sam has really turned his life around for the better. Maybe a good woman and a beautiful son have helped him chose the right path.

Wedding pictures? Does this mean they are already married?

Congratulations to them both, I mean to all three of them. This is wonderful for Kaden, too.

I know Michelle is a stunning bride. Just look at her!!!

Val, I am so very happy for all of you.

  • I am so happy.  I've been thinking about them(while trying to fall asleep last night)  May God Bless their union.

BTW: I was able to download.  I just wasn't patient enough.

  • Congrats to Michelle, Sam and Kaden.  With a little faith, things always seem to work themselves out.

    xoxoxo

  • Guess I made the rounds of blogs before you posted this last nite.  Just found out on your mom's site this morning.  How wonderful!!  Your mom gave them wonderful advice.  When you are young, though, it is hard to think of tough times ahead.  But I pray they have the qualities to perseverE>  (SORRY__COMPUTER PROBLEM)  MAY GOD WATCH OVER THEM AND SHOWER THEM WITH HIS BLESSINGS>  IF YOU DON"T HAVE PICTURES UP BY TONIGHT I WILL SEE THEM WHEN WE GET BACK FROM GRANDS GRADUATION PARTY ON MONDAY>  CAN"T WAIT!
