Little Kaden went in today for his two week check-up. Remember that he weighed 6 lbs 12 oz at birth and 6-5 when he was sent home. Today he weighed in at a whopping 7 - 10! Whoot whoot! I told Michelle that must be some fatty milk she's got! The doc said he looked very healthy and the acne is normal. She said it probably hurts Michelle (and me) more than it does Kaden! I didn't go to the check-up with them. I subbed today and was pretty tired when I got home. I don't think I slept more than 3 hours last night. I was up with Kaden at one point when he was sobbing uncontrollably and Michelle couldn't get him settled down. I did, and ended up laying down with him next to me on the floor, rubbing his belly. After awhile, I had Michelle get down and take my place, but I still didn't sleep. I'm hoping tonight to catch some major zzzzz's.
I sub again tomorrow, then Dave and I head off to Illinois around 4. We're going to spend the night with some former neighbors, who are hosting a gathering while we're there. Then on Saturday we'll drive out to the quad cities for a wedding. I'll post pictures of the wedding Sunday night.
Meanwhile, some gardening pics.

Were you the one who mentioned the iris' that smelled like grape kool-aid? I think my neighbor has some of those along his garage, just off the alley. Everytime I open my garage door I can smell grape!
I remember some of our grands having those little pimples. Never knew what caused them, but they went away after a while.
Your flowers are a lot further along than ours. Cooler here by the lake. Inland is near 80, and we are around 70. Also cooler at night.
Have fun with your former neighbors and the wedding this weekend.
Have a great time. You deserve a break. Grandparenting is hard work and you are also parenting along with it. Hard work all the way around altho you wouldn't have it any other way I know.
I am just not having any luck with my plants even the annuals, this year. I don't know what the problem is. Even my wave petunias aren't going good and I'm using the Miracle Grow.....good soil etc. I'm about to give up. We are getting alittle more rain this evening.............Thank you, God. AND we didn't have hay laying in the field to get rained on........Will probably lay it down tomorrow in the one field and bale it over the weekend as soon as it cures.
The garden looks good. The petunias down here are pretty much gone. They flourish here during our "winter" months...looking really good in Feb and March. You must be tired since I see no pictures of Kaden or even Barney. You obviously didn't finish your entry.
Enjoyed all the pics of you garden and Kayden. Glad he is doing so well. My dd had that infant acne some also. Although it looks "bad", it's not harmful at all as I remember Y'all have a wonderful time in IL! RYC--no one can call us model height could they? lol *hugs*
Good news on the 2 week checkup. You know he's OK, but it's nice when the doc agrees. Your flowers look great. We have no sun and have had problems with flowers. I cheat and put in silk in my flower boxes. From the street you really can't tell the difference and they need much less care.
It is so hard when they are upset and you can't help them, you are such a good grandma. I love wave Petunia, great invention. My Foxglove did not come up, bummer.
Aw. A mother's job is never done, especially if her grandson lives with her. Hope you can get some rest on your trip.
Thank you for the petunias. When I was a little girl, we would drive out into the boonies to visit my grandmother at her farmhouse in the country. I would get out of the car after the long drive and stand on the hot gravel driveway, surrounded by absolute beds of petunias. When you get enough of them together they smell so wonderful, especially on a hot summer day! The dark purple ones smell the most.
