  • Update

Just got home.  Kaden is still in the hospital and will be there overnight - he's just not taking in anything orally.  He's on IV, so no danger of dehydration, but he's only had a few sips of liquid on and off all day.  He's a sick little puppy.  If you can imagine a two year old, flat on his back, not moving, just crying once in awhile, you've got an idea of what he looks like.  It near about breaks my heart to see him like this.  He doesn't want anyone to touch him, and he's hiding the arm that attached to all the tubes.  That's rather funny.  He ate a little bit of soup for lunch and showed some interest in the mylar balloon that I got for him, but since then, nothing but misery.  At least his temp is down.

The baby in the crib next to him went home so they wheeled in a bed so Michelle can get some sleep tonight.  They are being very solicitous to her, given that she is ready to drop this next baby and they are concerned for her too.  Please pray that she doesn't get the pnemonia - she is probably more suseptible to it than anyone else, given her lessened immune system and that she spends more time with Kaden than anyone else does.

Thanks for all the prayers.  I know he's in God's hands and that's the best place for him.

    Hugs.

  • Oh poor little one* I'll keep them both in my thoughts..hoping he heals quickly..and they are home soon..so glad his temp is down..*that's a good sign...hugs to all..love, Lee

  • Poor thing!  He is too little to understand what is happening to him----just that he feels miserable.  I am glad they are concerned for Michelle, too.  A little less for you to worry about---yeah, right!  You ALL are in my prayers!  Hugs.

  • Poor little guy.  I do hope he is much better soon.

  • I'm glad to hear the temp is down, and that Michelle will have a bed tonight.  Having a little one in the hospital is stressful for anyone, but for her right now....  I'm praying that by tomorrow the meds will have kicked in and he can go home.

  • Oh my I just read the latest!
Poor Kaden. Christina was in the hospital with croup when she was 18 months so I understand completely the anxiety here.
I will pray for all of you.

  • I'll hope and pray that the antibiotics will have kicked in by tomorrow and that Kaden is eating and feeling better enough to at least go home. I have a feeling he'll be seeing a lot of GeeGee, so try to get some rest tonight yourself.

  • awwwwwwwww..praying for both of them..you take care of yourself too Val...don't tire yourself out either or you'll be in there right beside him!

    God bless you all ((((HUGS))))

  • I will definitly be praying for them.  Thanks for the update

    Love

    Michel

  • I can't imagine. I would be beside myself if natalie had to go into the hospital... and Michelle being quite pregnant too. You are all definitely in our prayers. Poor Kaden.

  • He will bounce back faster than all the adults in his life. Hang in there!

  • Poor little guy.   I wonder if you could sneak in a popcycle or something cold that he would like so he would get an appetite back.  I imagine with all the IVs, he just isn't hungry at all.

Hope Michelle stays strong too.  This has to be so hard for her as well since she is pregnant and probably feeling miserable herself.
