Instead of posting a picture of growing boys, I'm posting one of pretty plants.

This is one of my hydrangeas.  I think it may be endless summer.  It has flowers of many colors, all on one bush.

    The blooms are large too!

We are settling into a routine.  I'm fairly exhausted.  I get to their apartment before 9 in the morning, take care of Kaden, giving him breakfast, playing with him, doing small chores around the small apartment while Michelle takes care of herself and Skyler.  As soon as everyone is ready, we all get into my car and head to my house, where we spend the rest of the day.  Sam comes here after work and we all eat together.  They leave to go home and I unwind until I have to do it again tomorrow.

She did get an Amish moms helper (one of the relatives, I think Rachel is 12 or so) so stay with her on Tuesday so I could go to bible study in the morning and get my shots and go to my stampin up workshop in the afternoon.  We'll do that again next Tuesday and then again next Wednesday, when I go on a trip with my garden club to see the quilt gardens in Elkhart County.

This weekend we have a family reunion, 3 hours north of here in Michigan.  The doctor cleared Michelle so she can go too.  We'll try to get all 6 of us (minus Ken - he already had plans for the weekend in Illinois) into our minivan - all the baby paraphenalia, all the food, the lawn chairs, the overnight bags - I think Beverly Hillbilly sets the scene well.  It should be fun.

And the week after next I'm heading up to Wisconsin for my annual girls escape week with Sue.  Say it with me, "I can't wait!"

  • where about in michigan?   I'm from Michigan!!!!      you must be pooped, it's such a nice thing you do for your daughter.  get some rest.

  • That's a wonderful idea about the Amish helper, I know my daughter would love to help out a new mom like that.

Have fun at the reunion, have a safe trip!

  • Does your DIL have connections with the Armish? I remember seeing a Armish lady in the baby photos. Good luck with the family trip

  • sounds like a routine alright!  YIKES!!

Thats a lot of flowers on one bush! wow!  and all different colors?

Have a great time at your reunion .. LOL on looking like the beverly hillbillies!  I can picture it now!!!!!!  hhahahaha!

Take care and have a safe trip...God bless you all (((HUGS)))

  • I'm glad you enjoy the pictures of Lilly. She is growing way to fast, but I'm excited to experience all her firsts. I am loving motherhood.  Congratulations on your new little bundle of joy!

  • The pics of the hydrangeas are pretty but...I just happen to LOVE the pics of the growing and ever changing boys.

I think I met Rachel.  Is she one of the girls from that family with all girls.  Dad was just enchanted with them.

RYC:  You already know the story from the first time that I posted it.

  • @josaju - Nope, not from the family with all the girls.  She's from Katie's sisters family, also Pauline's oldest sister.  Pauline is also not from the family with all the girls.  Those Amish familes get confusing!  Edna and Perry have 2 boys and 3 girls.

  • @englishjuls - You are new to me so you don't know that Michelle, my daughter, married Sam, who grew up old-order Amish.  His step-father died in October, leaving behind his wife, Sam's mom, Katie, and their then 2 month old daughter Susan.  Katie and Susan are still old order Amish, although Katie will often let me take her picture.

  • We will be praying for you.. you have an interesting family :) God bless!

  • AHEM!!!!  You forgot to mention who you were visiting during your Wisconsin trip----which will of course be the highlight of the trip!!!!!  lol   Cannot wait to see you!

  • I love hydrangreas--always so pretty! Miss the ones I had at my old place. Had what was called a pee gee hydrangea with whote blloms and it was a GORGEOUS bush.

Glad y'all are getting to go to the reunion--should be a fun, albeit hectic visit.

The quolt garden thing looks FUN and BEAUTIFUL! Have fun and be safe!

    *hugs*

  • Oh how pretty..different colors..I had never seen one like that..beautiful** and oh sounds like one full and tiring but 'good' kind of tired' day..I am sure she is glad she has you to help..Enjoy your gathering of everyone..and your trip too* sounds wonderful...* take good care..all...hugs and love, Lee

  • How long is this routine going to go on? Sounds like you are going to be worn out for your trip. Hope Sue plans to drive while you sleep. Wish I could meet up with you guys. If things work out in Oct. I hope to drive across WI and meet Nancy but will have to see time wise and gas money wise too. My Amish helper came just to do bathrooms and vaccumn today. It has been good having her come every week with the son and kids here. She does everything every other week and just the 2 things...plus today she cleaned the ceiling fan in the kitchen...on the off week.

  • You are so sweet!!  Yes, you are right!  I wasn't able to celebrate it right on that very day. Thanks so much for the wonderful birthday wishes!!  I really appreciate it!!  (((Hugs)))

P.S. Beautiful pictures, and I hope you have great time on your escape!!  Have fun!

  • cool hydranges.  don't exhaust yourself.  can't wait!
