We call those kissie cheeks. Sorry, can't help you on the plant. Maybe swamprad would know.
No idea of the name, but I remember seeing them growing up around my mom's house, that was in Chicago.
The baby looks so peaceful and content! He's such a doll.
Awwwww, he is sooo cute! What a great picture of the two of you. Nope, no idea on the plant.
I think it must be a weed with a root like that. You both look so peaceful
AWWWWW. What a cute chunk. Can't wait to see him. Michelle says he should be HUGE by the time we get there.
. We have many similar annoying plants. Some have started between the back fence and the electric fence and I have no idea how to get rid of them... One of our invasive plants has thorns and is very difficult to control.
I have a cantaloupe growing in the compost pile. Maybe it will bear ripe fruit before we leave.
Still basking in the glow of kind and complimentary birthday wishes. Will try to get around to everyone. May take me a while but...that's ok.
HUGS
we don't have anything like that growing here....lovely cuddly baby...wonderful
Is it poke weed? Do the berries turn purple or red?
What a lovey dovey baby!
I saw your name on Englishjuls site and liked your comment so I came by to visit.. I live in CA and we have two daughters who will both be in college this year. Nice to "meet" you.
Hi,
We have that plant down here, too. It looks evil with that long taproot. I'm sorry I don't know the name of it. I think I've heard it called elderberry, but I don't think that is quite correct. At any rate, hope you can manage to get rid of it!
Wil says this is a furin' weed to MO. lol Yeah, right! I think MO has about every kind of weed known to mankind! Has berries like a Poke weed but not the right colors I don't think. Not red enough.
Nothing more relaxing than holding a sleeping baby!
I agree about the pinchable cheeks! He's so adorable. Don't know about the plant--maybe you could ask primrozie to come check it out??? She's very knowledgable of plants. *hugs* (Sorry to hear your friend passed away!)
you two even "look" alike. same coloring ...........awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwe
weeds are weeds
Val, I'm pretty sure that is sumac. It grows around here like a weed, and can be tough to get rid of. What a beautiful baby. Two weeks and counting for our newest arrival.
xoxoxo
oops, hope that wasn't poisonous.....maybe you can take it to a nursery and they can ID it for you.
Sorry you lost a good friend....it is nice that you got to see her again though.
love those sweet baby cheeks...only thing cuter is a little baby pudgy butt!!!!
