A Happy Anniversary
Dave and I celebrated our 31st wedding anniversary last night with dinner at Bonefish, followed by seeing MacBeth at ND. I'm not sure I would recommend that play to couples trying to get romantic (LOL) but it was done very well and we enjoyed it. It was the first time either of us had ever seen that particular peice by Bill.
Today is mimiwi's
birthday. Go on over to her site and wish her well if you know her. She is such a sweetheart and one of the xangaites that I have met in person even though I didn't know her before blogging with her.
Yesterday during the day I went to Wellfield Botanic Gardens with one of my garden clubs. You probably haven't heard of it - that's because it's still under construction. What a fascinating thing, to watch such a visionary endeavor, see the long term plans and help dream about what it will become. We usually go to botanical gardens that are well-established. This one we got to see from the beginning. We'll go back every year and see how it developes and changes. It will be one of the things we support.
Michelle and the boys are supposed to come over today - I haven't seen them since Monday - that's a long time for us! I've been impressed that she's been able to stay away! It's funny that I miss them when I don't see them.
Got to do some work around here. Aparently my cleaning fairies have failed to show themselves. Again. It's hard to get good help!

Those stupid faries never show up! Happy Anniversary again and glad you had a good time last night.
Hey, my fairy showed up and is cleaning as we "speak". lol
You would of thought those faries would of known it was your anniversary yesterday so you deserve a day off
31. Boy you must be old.
Well Happy Anniversary! (belated)
Had a friend have that surgery and it turned out fine. hugs*
Happy Snappy Anniversary
I am so happy you had a "romantic" evening
I think my cleaning fairies must be hiding, or maybe they are tangled in the dust balls under the couch. i should go check.
Oh and Beeniebelle is Christina, my oldest
Thanks for the birthday greetings, and the mention, too. Now, if you asked my grands, they would say the word "sweetheart" would definitely NOT describe me. "Silly" and "sarcastic" would be more like it!
A belated Happy Anniversary. MacBeth?? I agree that would not be a romantic date!
Sorry to hear about your upcoming surgery.
My fairy better get here pretty soon, since we just heard Ken's sis---the one that owns the house--- will probably be coming next week. But she just got word of an abnormal mammogram, and will get more info on Tues.. That will determine her travel plans. But I MUST be prepared!!
Hope you are having fun with the boys today.
I just started it last night, and what I read then was humorous, but I know the book is deeper than that. I am really at the beginning still, but he has an interesting perspective of telling the story so far.
*hugs*
Happy Belated 31st! It was a hot one 'way back then' but it was fun. As it was 25 yrs ago, too. It was a little melancholy for me yesterday - but as I retrospected, I'd not be the person I am today - stronger and more forgiving - nor had the spiritual connection I have now and the good thing is Mike and I are on good terms. Nuff said on that. Best of all, I still have you and Dave for friends and it's stood the test of time. At least now we stop and giggle and smell the flowers more. And just think - only 19 more to go til your 50th! Congrats, dear ones.
