  • Boring post ahead.

I am definately improving every day - just not as quickly as what I'd like.  I went to choir last night and made it mostly through on my donut pillow - had to stand up for the last-for-me song.  Then I was done and I found a couch in the lounge area and lay down for the next 1/2 hour.  Turned out I had a low-grade temp.  So I went to bed early and feel better now.

I need the donut pillow because my tailbone feels like it's broken.  The doc says that most women feel the pain in their hips.  Not me.  I feel it in the tush.  He said it's probably becuase I had previously broken the tailbone, so it was more susceptible to the pain than any other part of my bottom area.

We have been eating through the main dishes that my mil brought to us on Sunday.  Yummy!  And Ken took the baskets of clothes up and down the stairs so I could do laundry yesterday.  Life continues.

My mom and dad are back in Florida.  I think they miss being with friends and family.  It was really nice to have them here for the week.  Kaden and great-grandpa really connected in a silly way!

  • Glad you are doing better!  I was a little worried about you on Tuesday.  Home today, wash, cleaning, filing BORING!  I do need to finish my shower shopping later today.

  • My mom had that surgery a couple of years ago on the day before Thanksgiving. It took a little while to recover but afterwards she said she felt so much better. Hope you feel better soon.

  • I must have missed the post about you having surgery... but glad you are on the mend!!!

  • Good that you are up and about and are recovering. Sounds to me like your parents are very much planning to return to "home country" in the next couple of years. It think that would be best for all of you. Now with us it wouldn't matter where we lived since neither of our kids could ever help us out anyway. But you and Dave are so stable and could be there for them if needed.

  • Glad you posted and are on the road to recovery.  Sounds like you are trying to keep up with all your usual activities.  Now that the weather is turning cooler, I hope you find some inside jobs to keep you busy around home.

  • It always hard when you want to be up and about doing stuff and you cannot. There is only so much daytime tv a person can watch

  • I'm so glad to hear you are feeling a bit better and sorry to hear that you still have pain.  Love the bonding pic!
