  • I just talked to mom.  She sounds really alert.  She's been sitting up in a chair and even took a few steps already.  She had some pretty bad oatmeal for breakfast and was complaining about that.  Food should improve once she's able to make her own choices.  Dad spent most of the night with her, but went home about 6 this morning to take care of the cats and rest for a bit.  He was there at 9, so it must not have been a very long rest!

    Thanks for all your prayers - she's really feeling their effects!

  • Wow!  Yay for mom!  Your dad needs to remember to get his rest so he doesn't get sick himself.

  • It's amazing how quickly people get back on their feet after surgeries like that.  I hope once she gets to pick her menu, she will feel even better.

  • She must be getting better if she's complaining about the food--LOL. I  know it's nasty there and that she & you all can't wait until she gets home! *hugs*
