Gotta pick up some sinus meds after I post this. The x-ray confirmed what I suspected - I have clogged sinuses. Drat. I was hoping I'd never have to worry about that after the surgery 5 years ago. I just don't want to have to go through that again!
Kaden always seems to have most of his hand in his mouth.

As much as I love blue hydrangeas, I think this pink is stunning.

Mixed bag of pictures today - some of Kaden and some of my midsummer garden.
I ordered over 100 photos from yahoo today - have to pick them up at Target tomorrow. I'm trying to get ready for my annual cropping vacation with Sue up in Northern Wisconsin. Cropping, shopping and eating. Walks in the woods, and along Lake Michigan. I really need this! I'll head up there next Sunday and return the following Saturday. Friday night I'll spend in Illinois - one of my friend's daughters is having a vocal recital - she'll be starting up at Wheaton Conservatory in late August and I've never heard her sing. I can't wait! It'll be a great way to end my selfish week away!!!!!
It's cooled off some here. Still summer, but we turned the air off. Michelle thinks it ought to go back on, but I say, if I can stand it, keep it off. I'd rather have the fresh air with windows open.
No plans for tomorrow. A quiet Saturday at home for a change! Yippee!

I'm afraid to even open my fridge! At least my daughter knew enough not to open it much yesterday. I felt bad though, we walked to Subway to get something to eat and she asked if it was ok to use the toilet during a power outtage. Poor thing, I think she was afraid to use it all day - and never thought to call and ask me!

Its supposed to be pretty nice this weekend, I'm hoping to get a lot of weeding done!
A/C still jury rigged........temps are falling tho......from 104 yesterday to in the 80s at the moment with the supposedly good chance of rain.
A week all to yourself?!!! Tell me how to do that and I don't have all the responsibilities you do. lol Enjoy!!! The baby is so sweet. Getting to the stage where he is really able to plug into the adults in his life.
I love the looks of your yard. Maybe next year something will grow again here. I lost another perfectly healthy looking plant yesterday. It is unreal how much as died here this year. We watered hostas on the north side of the house early in the morning the other day and Wil says he thinks once the sun got over that way...even tho these really don't get hit by the sun...they just baked. I sure do hope I haven't lost them. I loved the way that area looked and it is so low care.
So much to do to the house and I'm not in the mood. Might as well get in it because it isn't going to go away on its own. SIGH

Oh, believe me.... I am LOVING that L is a free agent and has no plans of being in a bf/gf relationship. I think it's so funny how the word spread and guys keep calling. The phone doesn't stop ringing! And this from a girl who is quiet, reserved, and loves to be home reading.

Your garden looks wonderful. I love the colors of summer. So much better than the grays, browns and black of winter---along with the white snow.
