Yippee! Today they are letting us download photos again! Maybe the note I wrote to the xanga intern helped?
Anyway, in keeping with our policy of taking pictures of where we ate on vacation this is the Serving Spoon, a wonderful restaurant directly across the street from Lake Michigan, in Menominee, Michigan, in the UP. You may recognise this from last year, since it's a repeat!
This one was new - The Gateway Bar and Grill in Crivitz, Wi. We ate here the first night and had broasted chicken - for $4.95 the dinner! How's that for a great price! Included potatoes, coleslaw, roll, breadsticks and cheese!
Here's another repeat - Soup to Nuts, also in Crivitz. Homemade hamburger buns! We didn't do the ice cream there this time - we were too stuffed! We got fudge later than day. Sue is wearing a jacket because the cool front had come in and it wasn't hot anymore!
We didn't try any of these delecacies though!
Here am I, eating dinner at Bergs Seafood Landing, also in Mennominee and on the lake side. Great view. We watched the guy mow the lawn the whole time we ate. It was pretty funny. We think he got eight rows done. I couldn't walk that slowly. Sue and I both could have run circles around him. But hey, at least he was working!
Mimiwi and her husband Ken outside the four seasons restaurant in Manatowok, Wi. Great company! We surely had a wonderful time with them. They told us next year at their house. They're on!
I think that's it for the restaurants. I'll do other pictures tomorrow!

It was an awesome week wasn't it. I'm feeling lonely this week. No one to talk to all day! I'll have to start making some phone calls.
Good times with good friends and good food...and watching OTHERS work! The best.
I enjoyed those pics! 14 more days...
Nice pictures. The last one should have been cropped to boob height, so it didn't show my huge belly!! lol
Manatowok = Manitowoc. lol We can always tell new announcers on TV by the way they mispronounce it!
You and Sue are great. Wish you lived in our neighborhood!!
RYC: The problem downloading pictures has nothing to do with Xanga. We can't get either of our USB ports to work - not for our camera, not for our mouse, not for anything. So I don't know what is going on. I have a sneaking suspicion that we're going to have to take it into the shop, but here in Indonesia, I have no idea where "the shop" would be! But I would think that IBM would have repair centers just about everywhere! Maybe i will try to look that up right now... =)
How fun...the Serving Spoon looks like a fun old fashioned place to eat. Is it really built in an old house or is that just the fake front?
yep...looks like you had lots of fun!
I remember your post from last year's vacation. Keeping that in mind, I realized I should be taking pictures of places where we eat while away from New York. I did but didn't post them. Well, at least I have them and it's cool.
I thought it was funny that there is a Four Seasons restaurant in what I think is a small town (is Manatowok small? LOL) and in NYC (NY's Four Seasons) we have one but I could never, in my wildest dreams, eat there. It's expensive X 10. LOL
