Oh cortizone huh? Dang. If it festers tonight alternate heat and ice. Can you take ibluprofen? Sometimes the injection is painful later....

the shots ARE more painful than the need. but if you get relief in a day or so, you will be happy with the whole thing.
Ewwwww cortisone shots. I used to get them in my knee. But they did help. After the pain of the shot itself wore off.
You know, that's what my doc said I have in my right thumb/hand too. She told me to wear the brace at night all the time. Mentioned how when she had tendonitis in her elbow she did that and it took a while but went away. I've been wearing mine a couple months, just to bed and it was a lot better. Until I started working on this stupid mailing list at work where it's almost all done using the mouse.
maaan.... they use cortisone for all sort of problems, eh.... - they also injected cortisone on my eyeball. No fun !

Yikes!!! How long do you have to get treatments? I had a friend years ago who had those shots in her knees. Painful. Hope you are all better and don't have to go back!!
