The forecast for Sat: Scattered T-storms. Please help me pray that away!
I stopped at the church today. It will work if we have to move it, but I'd really rather have the reception in my garden!
I'm in a lull until I hit overdrive on Thursday. When you probably won't hear from me until after the do.
Also, pray for my mom and dad as they travel north to be here for the reception. They left their home in Florida this morning. Maybe I'll call them tonight and see how far they drove. The dust-mop came with them, but the cats are being boarded at the vets. Our home was declared a "dog-free" zone when we moved here three years ago (arggh - how can it be that long ago!) so they'll be staying with my dad's twin sister on the south side of town.
Peter informed me today that the people who own the house that he's moving into won't be moving out until the end of the month. Now normally this wouldn't be a problem - I can ebb and flow with the best of them, as most of you know by now, but! But Peter told us at the beginning of this month that he was moving and would be out by last weekend, Aug 19. OK, sorry to see you go, it's been nice having you around, but now we can let some of the guests stay at the house for the reception. So his room was promised long ago. Now it's a big problem! Every bed, and even every couch has been promised to someone! He's going to have to crash elsewhere for the weekend. I had him strip the bedspread off the bed, along with the pillow shams and I dropped them off at the dry cleaner accross from my dentist office. They'll be ready at 5:00 p.m. Fri. OK. No one will go to bed that early Friday night anyway! As Rosanne Rosanna-dana would say, "It's always something!"

Its early. Certainly the weatherman can't be freaking accurate for the weekend already. Sunny skies. Sunny skies. Sunny skies.
We're praying for no rain here Saturday too! We really don't want a bunch of kids and parents walking 1.5 miles in the rain!
I'm sure things will work out great for the reception. I so wish I was able to come and meet all of you.
I will be praying for sure. The party will be a great sucess.
I'll pray sunny for you if you'll pray rain in torents for us. lol
You know the meteorologists in our area can't predict rain in a thunderstorm so don't worry yet.
praying for good weather for you! praying for your mom and dad as well! Have a great reception!
God bless you all((HUGS))
praying
I hope the rain comes here instead... we need it.
Yes, I hope your parents have a very safe and trouble free travel trip
I agree with MSM... you know the weathermen here have 99% inaccuracy on their predictions.
ryq: Affordable housing in Elk Co? We lucked into this place after searching for months. Fortunately, it was a bank repo, and the bank is in Fla. More fortunate, they hired a St Joe county realtor who had no idea of the value of housing in our county, so it was listed about $20k below where it should have been, had a local realtor gotten the listing. Daughter tripped over it the First Day it was listed (on the internet), and they put a bid in on it the same day. It didn't have a for sale sign in the yard yet, the realtor hadn't taken pictures, hadn't even seen the house herself. This was truly an answer to a prayer. I think your kids would be better off looking in St Joe county if they need something affordable, because that doesn't seem to exist in this county. We had been looking at CRAP for $70k-$80k. Seriously, I wouldn't let a dog live in most of them, and I don't like dogs! Their 25 year old rental mobile home was nicer.
Happy reception!
xoxoxo
Oh my, you do have a full schedule. I will be thinking of you all on the Big Day.
Yes, I am praying Fran and John have a safe journey.
hey Val! I am praying for the reception... sunny and balmy... yeah, Peter told me that too... it is frustrating. oh well... it'll all work out... =)
Don't worry, don't worry, don't worry. It will not rain, it will not rain, it will not rain. What do I know? I don't know, but I'll pray!
