Busy week, par for the course.
Aunt Em and I at our red hat tea last week.
Doesn't this look yummy?
Our group.
I have Kaden today. I met my lunch bunch at Panera Bread and he was a hoot - he's an entertainer, that's for sure.
Tomorrow Michelle and I are planning to go to garage sales with Kaden. It's the first big weekend of the season, so lots of area subdivisions are hosting sales, which usually means lots of houses in a close location. park and walk.
This week has been almost summer-like. Today the high is supposed to be 80. Too bad it can't lst, but it sure makes for a nice break from the awful cold. Next week is May already, so we'll be seeing more of this rather than less.
I was shocked at the bottom two last night on Idol. I thought Jason would get the boot, but definately not Carly. I actually voted for the first time this season - Syesha blew me away with her show tune, which I had never heard before. I keep singing it now. I guess lots of people voted with their hearts, not their heads. Carly is a much better singer than Brooke. Brooke might be a better person, but she's not a great singer.
Kaden is napping and I'm on IM with my friend coolmom56. We're going to go on a couples vacation to Gatlinburg starting on May 5, so we have lots of plans to discuss!

I was thinking about you all last night! Your ears must have been ringing.
That tea looks fun! I should look for a red hat group here...

Glad I'm full from lunch before seeing the food pics. Another trip!!! And you aren't even retired and here I sit!!! 'Taint fair!!!
Did you do up Aunt Em's hat for her?? Looks similar to yours. You all look so pretty! And all those goodies just look way to tempting to me right now. Have been trying to be a good girl!
Hope you and Sue and hubbies have a wonderful trip. Our niece from Atlanta was married in a chapel at Gatlinburg on Valentines Day about 10 yrs. ago. Saw some pictures---what a beautiful area.
Will you still be coming for your "retreat" week sometime this summer? Or is this trip taking it's place? I suppose that with the new baby, it will be hard to make plans.
On our way to church this morning, we saw several signs for neighborhood sales, but don't think anybody was doing much. We had dense fog, heavy rain, lightning, thunder and high winds!! I was surprised about the fog with the wind, but that is the way it was. My umbrella blew inside out!
Did you find any good deals???
Cute pics, as usual! RYC, yes PI was at the wedding, but I don't post pics of him because he does not want that. SO, out of respect (even if I think it's silly) I leave him off.
Stil in TN--go back tomorrow. Hate to go B my Dad's bone marrow test, but I can't stay forever. My cat will meaow the entire 8 hour drive I am sure because of leaving his bud (folks cat, Bubba). LOL
Hope y'all are finding all kinds of good things at the yard sales!!! *hugs*
husband and I went to Gatlinburg in the spring a few years ago. It was sooooo beautiful. We found this awesome steak house to the west of Gatlinburg's downtown area. It was uber expensive but we were celebrating an anniverary so we plurged. Wish I could remember the name of it but I expect you could find out if you asked. It seems like it had a bridge to walk over to get to the steakhouse....
anyway, I hope you had a wonderful time at garage sales....time to find those cute little baby girl outfits.
